Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I’m looking forward to seeing what this approaching New Year has to bring in year 2013. For now I will enjoy whats left of 2012 and this homemade peppermint sugar scrub I made which makes a nice exfoliant. It also makes a nice gift for girlfriends and you could change the colors to fit your occasion (Baby showers, Birthdays, etc.) or any holiday (Valentines, Christmas, etc.).
Ingredients
2 Cups of Sugar
Red Food Color
Mason Jar
1/3 Cup of Light Olive Oil
1/8 Cup of Coconut Oil
1/4 tsp of Peppermint Essential Oil
Pour sugar in a bowl, add the olive oil, coconut oil, and peppermint oil. Mix well. In separate bowl I added more sugar and oil and red food color (until I reached my desired color). There is not an exact science or measurement when making your scrub. You can add as much oil of the sugar or oils as you like until you reach the desired texture and smell you like. Then pack into a mason jar tightly. I tied a ribbon around mine with a candy cane! ![]()
