Would you like to have tea time? (insert my best english accent) I grew up in the south so the only tea I ever drank was sweet tea. You know the kind now that you sip and you ask yourself, “how did I ever drink that”? It’s so sweet that your teeth will rot out! I then switched over to un-sweet tea with splenda which I like to have when I get bored with just ordering water. Outside of that I guess I’m your typical American in that I drink my fair share of coffee and occasionally I will order a hot tea while at Starbucks drive-thru. Recently, after passing Teavana in the mall a million times I figured I would stop and see what all the hype is about! Entering you are hit in the face with an array of aromas from all the teas that are brewing plus the employees wave the different scents in your face when debating on what your purchasing which leaves a nice scent floating through the air. I was approached and asked, “if I would like to try some of their Champagne Rose Tea”, um does a bear shit in the woods?! “Champagne flavored tea,” I responded. Of course I want to try it! My taste buds were pleasantly pleased at how light and flavorful and I was sold! I decided to join the rest of the tea maniacs of the world and take the tea plunge. I purchased “Peach Bellini Blush” and “Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate” which are both fabulous in flavor and delicious hot or cold. I’ve also noticed that it helps cure my appetite at night when my tummy tells me I’m hungry. It keeps me from eating a ton of calories before bed. If your like myself and have passed the store in curiosity then maybe you should stop in and check it out.

I love tea! We don’t have that tea shop here in KC but we have a good one that I like to shop at. You should also check out making your own tea flavors to brew. You gather up spices & dried fruits and wrap them up in cute little bootie bags I make out of tule in pretty colors. Get a french press to brew or tie a long string on the bootie bag to drape over the side of your mug while the tea steeps, if you don’t have a press. I love cloves with dried cranberry & orange peels or lavender with honey and lemon. When I dry my fruit peels of citrus fruits I drop some vanilla on them for flavor & to tone the acidity of the citrus rinds. Yummy

Hi Jen! Thanks for the idea I’m going to have to try and create my own tea and flavors now thanks to you! I like the combinations you listed above too.
You rock!
Right on! I’m glad you like!! Wrapping the tea bootie bags in tule in different colors makes a cute gift, or makes a friend happy if they are under the weather
I bring them to my friends sometimes when they are sick. I hope you enjoy!! …oh and the Pink Lemonade Pie looks killer!! I just read that post.. yummy!! ~J
I like homemade gifts they have a nice sincere touch and the pie was bomb!
Never like tea – but I like the sound of rose champagne tea.
I think everyone like the sound of champagne rose tea! The only think it was missing was real rose pedals floating
I know what you mean about trying real sweet tea. The ones sold in the store are always diluted with plenty do ice when I do buy it. At sprouts this afternoon I was looking at their tea brands but nothing I was ready to try yet.
I haven’t been in a sprouts yet but they are here in Co ..I will have to check it out sometime!
